Entrepreneur in Residence
Role Description
As an Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR), you will work cross functionally with different ventures, to build, provide guidance and grow together with the teams.
Responsibilities
Help startups to stay focused on their milestones, bring hands-on experience in building and growing startups and bring them solutions to unlock strategic questions along the entrepreneurial journey.
Identify and vet entrepreneurial companies in a multitude of industries, mainly in Smart Commerce, Smart City, Digital Transportation and Biotechnology.
Source for prospective investment targets.
Prepare competitive analyses around investment targets.
Develop strong relationships with professional investment firms.
Help out on due diligence and/or provide operational assistance to existing portfolio companies.
Offer an extensive understanding and network of resources available to entrepreneurs, including educational and internship opportunities, service providers, and programs.
Help with the design and implementation of mentorship programmes.
Build relationships with rising entrepreneurs.
Meet and exceed all assigned Goals and Objectives.
Requirements
Serial entrepreneur with good track record, or minimum 5 years of working in tech-related companies.
Degree in relevant business discipline, e.g. Management, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business from top universities.
Ability to coach and mentor entrepreneurs with knowledge of acceleration, expansion and funding of high-technology companies with proven works.
Ability to assist in translation and commercialization of research or industry collaborations within the network with proven works.
Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese, additional languages not mentioned will be considered favourable.
Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
